I don't normally write bad reviews but I've been very turned off by this vet. First off, it is a very unorganized office. On a positive note I've received many reduced priced or free services because of all of the mistakes that they've made. They try to make it right if they mess up, but I got to the point where I was prepared every time I visited that something would go wrong. Luckily, most of them are administrative and not related to my dog's health. The event that made me leave was when I took my dog in for giardia symptoms. They put him on a week of meds and it wasn't totally cleared up. I expressed my concern that he improved but didn't seem to be 100% and wondered if he could still have giardia. Long story short and 100s of dollars (and many, many weeks) later while I repeatedly expressed my concern that he still had giardia...the vet thought he had an intestinal tumor. They asked me to bring my dog in one morning when I said his behind looked irritated. When it turned out to be hemorrhoids the vet said "shoot, I was hoping it was a polyp." It seemed like she was just after wanting to confirm it was cancer and not actually figure out what the problem was. Anyways, I took him to Indian Tree Animal Hospital after this incident and without doing any new tests and only looking at his records, the new vet said, "he's still testing positive for giardia, why didn't they finish treating him for that?" They gave me the same meds he was on previously, and two weeks later my dog was back to his normal self. I will never return to Table Mountain.
