I would often visit the hotel for drinks in the beautiful gardens during the summer months with my family and always felt welcome, however recently visited and the place and atmosphere seems some what different. It seems the hotel now has a new business model and is aimed for couples rather than families. Felt very unwelcome. Before my children had even entered the grounds and said a word we were informed that the children cannot make any noise! Never experienced this before especially on Friday afternoons when the place would be full of parents and children from the nearby school. Such a shame but understand business models have to change in this challenging climate but just to pre warn people, this is now not a place to come with children.
