The students and the instructors are amazing. Star...

The students and the instructors are amazing. Started almost a year ago (adult), and the atmosphere is always serious enough ( not a hobby), but relaxed in the sense that teachers always adapt to the audience (kids, hot day, beginner/experienced ratio) and some games and family events are often planned to entertain and educate the kids, all year long. A lot is due to Sensei Daisuke s high sense of professionalism and ambition to create a community, as well as to grow each student. Very fairly priced too, it s a steal for such a dojo location (heart of hells kitchen, lots of sun) and classes (many for both adults and kids, weekday and weekend). Mostly Japanese originally ( a good way to immerge into an Asian community ), there is now more and more diversity (maybe now 50% from all horizons). The art taught here is Full-Contact (sparring), so you have to be willing to learn to fight with your body (no weapon), but the seniors are always very respectful of newjoiners. It s also very flexible for belts exams (regular sessions and catchup sessions).
