I have hired a freelancer at Upwork to proofread my dissertation. The guy was a scammer. He did not provide any single feedback for my paper. All he did (after waiting 4 days) was that he copied my entire text, pasted in another word document, changed the font color of a few words, and sent it back to me. The sad part is Upwork did not do anything about this and both the scammer and Upwork did not return my money. Beware when hiring people in Upwork. It's full of scammers.
