We have lived here about a year and three months. I will briefly describe before and after the advent of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Before the Pandemic we were a hopping bunch. There were guest speakers, entertainment groups, weekly happy hours, organized trips to local venues, and special events of all kinds. We celebrated all the big holidays, had organized exercise classes which were well attended. We were surprised at how easy it was to meet people and make friends here. Different people are always asking you to join them for dinner. Happy hours were always good for meeting new people. Even the gym and pool are good meetinng places. We felt at home and had formed good friendships in almost no time.

The Pandemic has changed a lot of that. We have always appreciated our staff and "team" members here, but the Pandemic has brought us an even greater appreciation. The effectiveness of their concern for our safety is in the numbers: No cases among the independent living population and, I believe, less than five among the memory care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or rehab community.

Our dining rooms are open again. All of us have received our Covid vaccinations, and we are gradually working our way back to normal. Normal is better, but the staff cares and, whatever the situation they will be creative in keeping us safe and happy.
