It was a pretty good experience. I had morning appointment and it was done in 45 minutes. Here is the process which could help potential applicants.

Security guards are very friendly,they ask for appointment letter and a copy of your drivers license.You will be allowed in at your visa appointment time only. If you are early you have to wait outside the security gate.

You will get a badge with a number on it which should be pinned on your shirt and there will be airport type of security where you will be emptying your pockets and walk under a scanner machine.

Once done, you will be directed to visa building. Here you need to get a ticket number ( DMV style ) and wait for the number to be displayed on the board.

Your number will be called in and the officer will ask you questions regarding your trip and the documents which are posted on their site. Officer will note down each and every information from your travel itinerary. If you are carrying any original document get a copy of it. There is also a photocopier inside which takes quarters coins only.There is no need to have 2 copies of each document however if husband and wife applying together get individual copy of each document for Flight itinerary/hotel reserations/insurance/employment letters/paystubs/cover letter etc.

Once officer reviews your documents, you will get fingerprinted/photo /fee payment . 1 passport photo is enough though it says 2 copies on their site. You can also submit a return envelope or opt to pick up passport.
