Pixie Dust Review of Parkside psychiatric hospital ...

I am a professional and I attended outpatient services here during the last leg of COVID. The group had people from all walks of life - from people fresh out of prison to lawyers and nurses - and the therapist instructor Bill challenged and helped each individual grow based on their unique situation. The director of the program, Cynthia, helped make sure I was getting the right treatment, wrote letters for me on occasion as needed, and I was redirected to a more trauma-specific private therapist but their medication management provider continues to provide welbutrin for my anxiety and ADHD. They took me off my adderall which I believe has been very helpful in treating a possibly adderall-related side effect of anxiety
Also, I read the other reviews, and I get it - the red tape for psych admissions is a very fine line and people will be mad if you admit them or mad if you don t - but let me be very clear - if you are somewhere other than a safe place like Parkside, and somebody calls COPES or police to get you or your loved one psychiatric help, COPES could put you behind bars for 6 months faxing bogus felonies if you get angry when they try to break in your home. So. You really can t be mad at Parkside - comparatively, in Tulsa, your other option is COPES AND jail.
