Our manufactured home was built by SE Homes of Addison. It was delivered in Sept 2018 & we moved in, in early Dec 2018. (We purchased it from The Home Place in April 2018.) THP sent one man to trim out the house & we were asked to make a punch list. The list was 5 pages long. From walls needing to be repainted to leaking roofs to cracks in shower tile to popping floors to crooked windows...you name it, it was probably on our list. Fast forward to Oct 2020, we have been thru 5 different SE reps, 6 different repair crews & 22 months of waiting for the repairs to be completed. I have absolutely no idea what is going on at this plant but poor management & untrained crewmen would just be the tip of the iceberg. We go months & months with no communication from them. One random Saturday at 7am, a crew knocked on the door & we had no idea they were coming. It was my son's birthday but we were afraid if we didn't let them work, we wouldn't see them for 4 more months. We had to alter our plans & they didn't even have the correct materials for the job. They ended up leaving just a couple of hours later. I have every email saved for proof but they don't care & never seem apoplectic. Every time a new crew is sent, we have to go thru the list of repairs again & no files are ever saved when they change reps.
Another example: Our back door was damaged when we moved in. They sent the wrong door twice & the 3rd one was damaged more than the one we have. The door leaks every time it rains. The last rep, Robin, told my husband that SE Homes can't guarantee a door won't leak & we should build a porch over it. I guess I'll keep a folded towel there until I can build a porch
Many people advised us not to purchase a mobile home. We paid $106k for our house & honestly, it could be a really nice house but the quality is severely lacking. If I could go back in time, I would not buy a mobile home. I would build a small house. Also, Covid cannot be an excuse bc this was going on for over a year before it. I have been seeing houses going down the road for months now.
Notice the reviews here, they rarely reply to a negative review. SE Homes, if you read this, Please, for love of my sanity, complete our repairs!!!
