I have an issue with Venerable. Me and my family are going through a few financial hardships my pregnant wife lost her job in Feb and due to COVID-19 I lost my job. Because my wife hadn't been on her job long enough they denied her unemployment claim so all the bills fall on me and unemployment doesnt cover our expenses. To make things worse we have a baby on the way next month so I need all the funds that I can get to maintain our household until we get back on our feet. The government has a little sympathy and is waving their fee's so I would think a company like Venerable would do the same. I spoke with a rep at Venerable and they said that there is a strong possibility of them waving the early withdrawal fee due to the current state of the economy. I was advised to write a letter and explain my situation, which was a complete waste of time. Venerable had no sympathy and took $1600+ of funds that my family could desperately use, they didnt even try to even meet me in the middle. I am so dissatisfied with this heartless company, I pray that no one else that gets into a bind has to go through this. I should have keep my money with the other company I was with instead of moving my funds to Venerable. Thanks for nothing.
