Nice family park with some management issues. The park is in a lot of natural woodland, the lake is beautiful and the picnic facilities are excellent. No recycling facilities though, which is a real shame as a lot of the packaging on the food sold is paper or card. Such a waste to send it all to landfill!
For visitors:
-bring swimsuits and towels in backpacks, as there are no locker facilities available.
-Bring a change of clothes. The rafting ride you get wet on, because they do not empty the raft of water, and there are no drying facilities, you sit in a puddle. Car park is not accessible once you enter the park.
-Bring packed lunches, there is food, but picnic would be nicer.
-I did not find anywhere to refill water bottles, but didn't look too long, as it was a cold day so we didn't drink much. You are allowed to bring your own water in.
We started at the entrance and worked up the park to the pool area. It might work better to get the little train to the top area and work back, for queues.
My comments below are all fixable items. We enjoyed ourselves a lot here despite the issues.
The rides are understaffed, leading to long queues (30mins plus) even in the quiet times in the park. The octopus ride for example has one person checking all the belts then racing back to start the ride. Ride takes 50 seconds. Set up of customers takes over two minutes. Queue time was 40 mins. Easy to improve with a second helper so two can check belts. They have 4 or 5 staff on a little coffee shop area just standing around... handing bits of paper to each other. Redeploy them to keep queues down.
The opening hours are short. 11am is very late to open and at 7pm it is too early to close due to all the queuing throughout the park. We were there the full day from opening time to close, midweek on a cloudy day, did not delay anywhere and did not get to all the rides due to the queue lengths. The rides themselves all close before closing time in the evening, so be aware if you pass anything and want to go back later. I witnessed a cold hearted staff member take a small child off the carousel ride at the exit to the park as it the ride was full and tell her she could take the next go instead. Then she closed the ride down at 6:50pm and told the child to leave. The child burst into tears distraught at this cruel treatment.
The area is in need of real repairs. See attached photos of decapitated decorations.
Not enough support for visitors from other countries. No maps in German or English., Or any language other than French. A shame, as it so close to Ros off port. Could increase visitors easily.
