Review of Falcetti Music

I must say, I'm not surprised by these bad reviews. I am a little surprised that since I quit working there as a teacher almost 15 years ago, that things are still so dismal for employees as well as customers. As a teacher, the shady business practices pushing students into making an instrument purchase (from simple keyboards to big pianos) is part of their business model. We had to write progress reports that "recommended" what the student buy to continue. Yes every music store wants its students to buy gear in-house. But this was another level. It started before that with ALWAYS having to have students buy their music book curriculum. I got yelled at for using photocopied sheet music for a student that was broke, wasn't interested in anything the beginner books had to offer, had learned Beethoven on his own, and I was going to have him learn the reading part of it. They said - Does a school hand out photocopies (uh, YEAH all the time), no the school uses textbooks (which are FREE and get returned at the end of the year). But I skipped all that and told Sam it's a business not a school. "Bullshit! This is Falcetti School of Music!" You are f-ing kidding me LMAO.

They held onto my final paychecks when I quit - some 50s era policy about unfinished make up lessons for students that were out. I sued them in small claims court. I won most of what was owed to me.

Most of the review is from a former employee's perspective, and yes it was a long time ago, but think of it this way. Do you want to purchase products from a company that treats its staff so poorly? Or lessons from teachers treated like the lowest forms of workers? Now you know from this review and the reviews based on recent experiences that this has been going on for many years through different generations of owners. I'm not surprised the other stores all closed. The managers were much cooler in those stores, because they werent part of the family and were just as disgruntled as the rest of us. I haven't stepped foot in there since, and I've bought a LOT of gear over the years, thanks to making my own success since quitting.
