Spent almost $1000 on a speargun, for it to be shipped with a known defect. Wasted money entering a rodeo and not being able to use the gun which started malfunctioning on the first dive and only getting worse. Note: the defect was that the shaft doesn t seat itself properly and the gun was literally firing itself. Riffe is fixing the guns, but I feel like that s the absolute bare minimum they could do in this situation. The customer service rep I wrote to in complaint was rude and told me that I was informed of the problem and should not have depended on the gun. I was not informed that the guns were firing themselves, I was told that there MIGHT be a problem getting the shaft seating, not something so dangerous as the guns firing at random. I have always heard great things about Riffe as a company but am very disappointed in the treatment I have received from them in this instance.
