I just had a unpleasant experience viewing a property listed by a remax agent from this firm. The house was listed at $105,000 over the municipal assessment. I understand there is always a gap between this and retail price, but this was excessive. When I questioned the agent he was defensive and told me those numbers dont matter...That's not exactly true, it absolutely matters because you will be in for a huge unpleasant surprise come tax time. This will also go against you if you try to borrow against your property. DONT LISTEN TO THAT ADVISE. The most frustrating part of my viewing was the agents attitude and constant seemingly inaccurate figures for the cost of renovations done to the property. It seemed as though the agent was not familiar with the area at all.
Not impressed and all my concerns were dismissed.
