Jered G Review of Security risk advisors
Working at SRA has been one of the best employment...
Working at SRA has been one of the best employment experiences in my 7ish years of IT security work. I have been given the opportunity to work with a multitude of security platforms, which I have not have been able to do while working with other companies in the past. This helps to give you a more well-rounded and robust background which really helps you stretch your wings and become an over-all better security professional.
SRA has also offered me the opportunity to work with a wide and diverse group of talented people who I've not only learned a lot from, but have also become very good friends with. They foster an environment of inclusion and work tirelessly to give you opportunities for leadership and project work that just isn't possible at most other places. The company also pushes their team to learn, attend conferences and events, and obtain new certifications all at their expense. Beyond that, they truly care about their employees. From the monthly events (pre-COVID), to office amenities (again, pre-COVID), to the random care packages they've sent in the mail (due to COVID), SRA has shown time and time again that they want their employees to be safe and happy.
Furthermore, SRA's leadership entrusts their employees with tasks and responsibilities that other organizations may not give the opportunity to do. I can say, without a doubt, that SRA is the reason why I've grown into the security professional I am today. I don't think it's any exaggeration to say that I've grown more in a year and a half at SRA than I have in the three years prior working at my previous employer.
