Right now the front enterance is under construction so it is a little bit confusing to get around. I went to study in the open area by the little bistro they have set up before the gallery itself. It's free to stay and study there if you aren't going into see the art but you must go to the ticket desk and ask for a food/cafeteria pass in order to get past security into the sitting area. Also, you won't be able to take your bags in with you. The little bistro is more for wine and dine than coffee. The one down side is that the view is so beautiful looking out to the parliament buildings and the canal that it's hard to study at points!
