I had the opportunity to volunteer at a local homeless shelter recently, and it was such a rewarding experience. The organization behind it, southerntierhomeless.com, does an amazing job in providing a safe haven for those in need. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly and understanding. They are truly making a difference in the community.
