While in Okinawa during Memorial Day Weekend, we stayed one night at the Southern Beach Hotel and Resort. It is located close to Naha Airport which made it easily for us to catch our return flight. The price included free parking and breakfast for two. We enjoyed Orion, which is Okinawa s local brew, next to the outdoor pool and we lounged around and tried to get a tan. We also went walking around the nearby beach and sea wall. The hotel is surrounded by water and the views from our room were amazing. We were truly impressed by the dinner buffet and the views of the sunset. The souvenir shopping on site was reasonable but couples massage services was too pricey even with the provided discount coupon. We also would have expected more than one English (BBC) television channel for a resort hotel. All in all this was a good experience.
