I was directed to NWO Orthopedics two years ago when I was experiencing what I thought was hip pain. Just seeing me walk in, Dr. Heck says you trouble is not your hips, lets take some scans of your back. i had been in an accident when I was 19, I'm 61 now and broke my back. I did not have any pain in my back at this time and thought what is he talking about?! X-rays were done right on then and there and I was surprised to learn my lower lumbar area was all crushed upon one another squeezing my spinal canal and pinching 6 nerves. I never knew pinched nerves could feel like I needed a hip replacement! I started pain management through NWO and Dr. Bahn which has helped tremendously.
