Review of Desert Academy in Santa Fe

this is a horrible school. being at desert academy has driven me into a depression, and I will not continue here. getting to school; let alone waking up in the morning is a dreadful experience due to how insanely terrible desert is. The teachers here are ridiculous and unprofessional. I have been attending desert since 2016 and in my opinion desert has gone from "okay" to just horrible. The 2017-18 school year was the year that many valuable staff members resigned from their jobs at this school, causing the new teachers to be untrained, and not suitable for the job. The teachers are miserable, and so are the students. When you apply to this school you are basically paying $20,000 for a daycare, not an education. I have not learned the slightest bit during the 2018-19 school year. They claim that the school got their students to the Ivy Leagues, when in reality it is based on the students personal intellect and will to learn, even if they are not being taught. I dislike coming to school everyday because of the fact that I am getting to school and sitting down for 7 hours listening to a teacher talk about unrelated subjects and personal issues. At this school we are pushing through trying to attain good grades while having no educational support. Desert Academy is an IB school, so I had expected much more. I put so much hope into this school, every year wishing it would get better but it went downhill. If you want a real $20,000 education, go to Santa Fe Prep. If you are a parent of a prospective student I absolutely do not recommend Desert, but if you choose to disregard this review I suggest your child takes the French course (the only good thing desert academy has).
