I've been part of the MKC "family" for more years than I can count, storing my sea kayak with them, taking our kids paddling in their protected embayment next to the Intrepid, and enjoying the wonderful, welcoming atmosphere they've created at pier 84 where old salt paddlers mingle with first timers and the vibe just sums up summer. It's a great place to try paddling in NYC for the first time, joining a more advanced guided trip, taking lessons from great instructors, or meeting up with a community of experienced area paddlers.
