My name is Rick Nusser. I went to NNMC ER at 3:00 AM on 9/22 for an elevated heart rate issue I was experiencing. Once intake determined I was in distress with a heart rate of 142 I was immediately placed in ER and surrounded by an incredible group of professionals. Since there were no beds available I remained in the ER until noon. I do not recall the ER doctor s exact name that evening, but I believe it began with an H . He was terrific. However, I do recall the great nurses and assistants and I would like recognize them for their compassionate and caring approach to my care.

Night shift: David & Ally
Day shift: Melanie & Bonnie

I d like to add a special thanks to David. At one point in my treatment my heart rate was not coming down and I became overwhelmed. At that point David pulled up a chair and just started talking to me in a calming and comforting voice. David, it was truly much appreciated.

Around noon I was transferred to ICU #209. Once again I met with another batch of wonderful and caring people. I d like to give a special thanks to both Leah (9/22) and Sarka (9/23). I believe Sarka was single handedly responsible for my timely discharge as she dogged the process to obtain my paperwork. Thanks Sarka, you saved many more of your colleagues from my continued presence.

Lastly, I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to meet Dr Truong. I have never had a doctor explain any condition to me so throughly and completely. He is truly a gift to your staff as well as a gift to me for my follow up treatment.

Thank you Northern Nevada Medical Center.

Sincerely,
Rick Nusser
