It would be negative stars if it were an option. Quicken loans and Rocket mortgage is a complete joke. The entire process was sleazy and totally un ethical. First they try and say anything to get your business and get you to sign a contract. Once you do that and give them the good faith deposit, expect communication to almost stop. If you call and leave a message or send an email expect days for a response... and most times they didn t answer what I was asking. They also set you up with a real estate agent, a local expert . What a joke. The realtor I went with also didn t do much of anything. The story is first it s a new home build... quicken knows nothing that by the way. They said all the right things to get me to sign a contract and they didn t even bother to read the seller stipulations which required an appraisal within a certain amount of time. Once I found out, which was pretty much too late I was a few days away from being in breech of contract for things they didn t do. This is after I paid for all my upgrades in cash, paid earnest money, paid their good faith deposit.. basically out thousands. They didn t do much to fix the issue. Their late resolution which still put me in a breech of contract situation was we will schedule the appraisal and we just have to wait and see. They didn t care if I lost my money. they dropped the ball the whole time, they all pointed the finger at other departments and never took responsibility. In the end I said at least get my refund information and let me know when I can expect that... and nothing again. Had to call again pestering someone for it. I ll probably never see it, or I m sure it will be way less. Bottom line, this company, if you can call it that does not care about you.... they only care about getting your money. The house buying experience has been the most stressful situation and all brought on by quicken. I did everything asked of me immediately at all times. If you use this company expect to get a royal screwing. My advice find your own realtor and do your lending research.
