Jason Schneider of Tom & Cindy and Assoc, was the lead realtor on our homesale. We sought out Jason based on reviews for sales in our local area. He did not disappoint.
We were initially hesitant to contact a realtor thinking our home needed much work (paint, kitchen reno, floors throughout) before going on the market. Jason assured us we were overthinking the process and he could help us sell our house at much more than we expected before the end of the year (starting in Oct 2019). It worked out just like that! Jason had contact with a general contractor who managed all our update needs in-house. In just a few weeks our home was market ready and listed! We were under contract in 2 weeks and sold 30 days later.

In looking for a realtor, do your due dilligence. Ask around, do interviews. And look at reviews. One of the features that sold us on Jason, other than the great reviews, was him telling us that if we were ever not satisfied, we could cancel our contract with him at any time without penalty. Ask your prosepective realtor if they offer that.

Not having bought or sold in almost 20 years, we put ourselves through a lot of stress. Jason repeatedly assured us it would work out, and it did.
