I recently went on a hike along the Appalachian Trail and the experience was incredible. The trails were well-marked and the scenery was breathtaking. The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club is doing a phenomenal job maintaining the trail. I highly recommend anyone who loves hiking to check them out!
