Review of Nakanawa Camp for Girls

Drove back to see what the camp looked like and was curious if they allowed fishing since a friend had fished there recently, gates were open, there were two welcome signs and a visitors parking sign, apparently we passed a super faded/barely readable posted sign at the end of the road but honestly we did not see it on the way in, was met by a very haughty, smart alec of man on a golf cart who from their website I assume was Pepe since he claimed to own the place, I was a passenger in the vehicle but he treated the driver w disrespect, talking over him barely allowing him a word in to explain why we were there and told him we were trespassing, no one can fish there because he owns they lake and insurance doesn't allow it and that we had passed 3 signs telling us to stay out, which is not true we checked on the way out, the driver tried to explain that he hadn't seen any signs and the owner said well you can argue with me all day if you want to but I put them there myself, the driver kept his cool way better than I would have, explaining that friends of ours had fished there and we were just checking to see if we could also, to which this man changed his story and said he does permit fishing but only to certain individuals. If this is the man who runs this camp and if that's the way he treats a total stranger I'd be very hesitant to send my child to a place ran by someone with that kind of attitude and disrespect. We meant no harm and had not intentionally trespassed on his property, and tried to explain that it was a simple mistake. Yes you may own the camp sir, but we are not your campers that you can disrespect and talk to like children, a simple explanation would have been sufficient. I don't normally post reviews but I felt family's should know how he treats a total stranger, because it's most likely how he'll treat your children and I would never want someone to talk down to my childen or not give them a chance to explain themselves and make them feel disrespected, was totally uncalled for.
