My wife and I were in the process of buying a home...

My wife and I were in the process of buying a home listed by this company. After putting our home on market, their client apparently decided not to sell or perhaps go with another offer. This in itself is no problem as she was well within her rights to do so but this company knew we only put our home on market after agreeing to purchase their client s home.

After constant back and forth, for close to a month, John J Lease was completely silent on whether or not their client would sign contracts. Bear in mind we had signed ours almost a month prior. After constant prodding and almost begging for an answer from them whether or not the deal was moving forward, they couldn t muster up the decency to pick up a phone after a month to say they wouldn t be moving forward with the deal, but resorted to faxing their intentions not to move forward.

I have no issue with a seller changing their minds, taking a more lucrative offer, what have you. But I think as a company, they should know the position buyers are in when they agree to purchase a home. A little more responsiveness, nay, some honesty would have saved my family a moving pod or two. There s no way you did not know the intentions of your client 3 weeks ago. Horrible business practice, in my opinion.
