We stayed two nights at the hotel this weekend. Saturday evening was screwed because we were late for all evening activities. We came back from the day trip tired, we had to change and hurry up to be on time for other last evening in Bordeaux activities. The door lock didn t work as it was dead. Receptionists came to open the door with the knife!! No technician in the hotel. It took about an hour for them going back and forth with knives to try to open the door. We were stuck because couldn t get into the room and leave the hotel because we had all our stuff in the room. When I asked to talk to the manager they said we have no manager. You can wait till the next morning . I asked so how you gonna fix this situation? We missed dinner and tour! And receptionist said you have two options: wait outside or you wait next to the room until we open the door then take your stuff and move to another room . In the morning when I asked for the manager the receptionist said the same no manager in place .
It s inappropriate for staff to communicate like that with the hotel guests and leaving them with this kind of negative experience, not even offering to have a coffee or a drink as a hotel treat while we were waiting as they said it would take some time may be more than an hour.
