It is hard for me to understand how the famous Frick Museum could create such a horrific New York experience for me and my family last Sunday. Certainly it was the holiday season, we arrived early.We made the decision to wait in line, knowing that all the patrons were as anxious as we were to see the exhibit. We waited 3 and 1/2 hours in line until there was only 45 minutes left until the museum closed.There was no canopy to protect the patrons from the pouring rain, no heaters to warm those of us who waited for hours and no one from the museum to direct the long lines around the building. As a former employee of the Detroit Institute of Arts I was shocked and chagrined by the lack of professionalism demonstrated by one of New York's premier museums.
