Peter Grois Review of The Williamsburg Winery
This restaurant in the winery was one of our favor...
This restaurant in the winery was one of our favorite places. I had a very brief business encounter with the founder and owner of the winery, Mr. Patrick Duffeler, almost 20 years ago. This classy gentleman ensured first class service and exquisite cuisine in the restaurant. Every time we had been in the neighborhood we made a point to stop by to enjoy some food and some of the wine. We also made special trips to the winery coming from Richmond and recommended it to friends. Our attitude towards the winery changed today. The service was terrible. The brought the wrong food. Than they brought only two meals and we had to wait for the third quite some time. Our waitress found it important to chat with another guest for the longest time while ignoring us. The menu changed also to very simple food what can be found in any low class restaurant for half the price. The taste and quality of the meals served was poor. Trying to communicate our concern to the manager of the restaurant failed since he never showed up. We decided to avoid this place in the future.
