TOURISM IN CHICLAYO
The city of Chiclayo is known as the "City of Friendship", because of the warmth of its people. This city is located in the province of the same name, in the Lambayeque region; This city is the capital of both the province and the department in which it is located.
Among the different tourist attractions that are found within the beautiful city of Chiclayo, there are places like
-The Walk of the Muses. This walk is known by that name because the sculptures of the nine muses of Greek mythology can be found there; This walk is between Balta Sur and Garcilaso de la Vega avenues. Other interesting sites within the city, are

Cathedral
In addition to the previous one, in the city, around the main square, there is also the main Catholic building in Chiclayo: the cathedral. This temple was built after the second half of the nineteenth century and inside, highlights the effigy of the Poor Christ, quite revered by the inhabitants of the area. Other religious structures, important within the city, are the Former Convent of the Franciscan Fathers, which presents a construction erected in 1541 and which has recently been undergoing remodeling processes; there is also the Basilica San Antonio de los Descalzos, which was built, at the beginning of the second half of the 20th century.

In the city of Chiclayo, there are also viewpoints; Among the viewpoints stands out the Cristo Redentor Viewpoint, which is located in El Cerro El Molino . The road to the viewpoint, works as an interesting point to practice trekking, since it includes a grandstand system of a total of 120 floors, which also has breaks.
How to get?
The city of Chiclayo can be reached by air or land. The flight to the "City of Friendship" usually takes about an hour; while the bus trip, through the Panamerican Highway North, can last up to 10 hours, if the trip is made by car; and it can take between one and two hours, if the transfer is made by bus, depending on the type of route followed by the transport company whose services are contracted. The bus terminals in Chiclayo are quite close to the city center.
