World Bird Sanctuary belies what really goes on around here. There are many animals besides birds, in rehab and wild. There are deer that come out of the woods and hang around humans, bats, insects, and reptiles in the main building. Trails lead you to the Meramec river through an almost century old tunnel. Lone Elk Park is a must after you leave WBS. Elk, deer, bison, and geese are plentiful. Truly a great day out.
