THE COUNTRY WIFE a presentation by George Brown Theatre at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts. The piece was very funny and charming. This was an excellent performance, stage and costume design by the graduating class of 2013/2014 from George Brown College. It was very interesting how they mixed old and new elements. The play is very old written in 1675, I honestly had a hard time following the old English but as an spectator I was never lost, the performers did a great job to display with their expression what was going on. The stage and costume design was very creative there was a mix of old elements such as shoes and wigs while some of the other elements like the fashion were modern. My favorite characters were Mr Horner, the player, who kept all the woman on the town busy and of course Mr. Pinchwife and Mrs Margery Pinchwife excellent job.
