Worst hospital ever! My father had a stroke and was taken by the ambulance to the closest hospital which unfortunately was NY community hospital. He stayed there for 4 days and not ONCE did I get to have a conversation with a doctor in person. I was there everyday from 12-7pm and not a SINGLE doctor came in to have a conversation with us. Nobody cared, I had to ask the clerk to call the doctor so I can speak to them and only after the THIRD attempt did I finally get to speak to the doctor (3 days later) who wasn t able to diagnose my father s severe pain. On the day of his supposed discharge - a cardiologist last minute decided he wanted my dad to get a pacemaker. He didn t even approach us or tell us this information. He told the nurses, which was then relayed to us. When I tried to reach him they said the doctor wasn t available. I waited 3 more hours and said that s it we re leaving. My dad sat in the hospital for 4 days and didn t even know who his doctor was. This is unacceptable. Please don t ever take your loved ones here at all costs. Get out of there and get a second opinion before they ruin your loved ones life.
