My friend, Cindy, a former Girl Scout Leader for many years, hosts a fundraising scrapbooking event (Think Pink for the Cure) to raise money & awareness for Breast Cancer & for their team to participate in the 3 Day Walk. The Girl Scouts have been generous enough to let her use their building for the event & it's perfect because it has a huge room for us to set up in & also a kitchen/eating area so we don't have to eat at our tables & risk spilling stuff onto our scrapbook stuff. I will post some pictures here but there are also pictures of the space & event on her Crafty Neighbor website. The event began as a way to help a needy friend pay for treatment, but ironically, Cindy, herself is now a survivor! And a big thanks to the generous support of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, who have allowed the use of their great facility to help raise awareness for & fight Breast Cancer.
