We had some paint flaking off the ceiling of our 1950s-era home. After my husband started to scrape away paint chips, we noticed two separate layers of material. So we began to wonder if there could possibility be asbestos (there were shiny flakes embedded in the under-layer). We called Higgins and spoke with Art, who was very helpful. He recommended that we send a sample to a testing company in Denver to be analyzed. The company he recommended was very professional and affordable. Luckily, we do not have any asbestos in our ceiling! Such a relief -- thank you!
