Researched and bought a safe car (excellent crash tests and AWD) for our daughter to drive; a pristine 2009 Mercedes C300 with 4MATIC AWD. CarFax said there was an airbag recall outstanding on the car. Bought the car, but made the mistake of assuming that MB Canada would fix the airbag. Instead they tell me that they are willing to add the car to a waiting list and send monthly updates! They suggested multiple times that it would be quicker to take the car to the USA to have the airbag replaced... even though they know the border between Canada and the USA is closed indefinitely! Meanwhile the recall notice itself says that worst case, the faulty airbags can kill the driver and/or passenger. I'm horrified how MB approach safety and will never buy a MB again.
