Our 31 yr old home developed an under slab leak and rather than repair the copper pipe, we decided to get quotes to repipe the entire house. Our piping is slightly unique whereas our outside hose bibs are on a separate line (Irrigation meter) from our regular house water. The irrigation line was the one with the leak. One company only gave us a verbal quote over the phone with a 2 year warranty. Another company came out but said they could not keep the lines separate. He also said he never seen a setup like ours in his 30 years experience. It took that company a few days to email me a quote. In the meantime I called Ramona at Emerald Plumbing. She was so helpful in setting up an in person quote for the following Monday. Hugo arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything that would be done and in terms I could understand. He understood the two metered lines and said it was not that uncommon and said it was possible to keep it with the same set up. AND he had a written quote in my hand within 15 minutes! The quote ended up being just slightly more than the other written quote I received but for more work (the two separate water lines and included drywall repair), It was a no brainer to me. The value was much great than the $225 difference. I called to schedule the work and spoke with Kiera. I m not sure if she was having a rough day or if she was too busy but I will say her customer service was not great. I felt like I was bothering her or that she had better things to be doing. After verbally scheduling the repipe, she emailed me a confirmation which required my reply. In my reply I asked her a question about the day-of work which went unanswered to this day. This is my only complaint however I didn t want that interaction to lower the rating because the rest of the employees make up for that one slightly not-so-good moment. The day of the repipe Pat, Sean and Eoghan arrived right on time - 9 am on the dot. They came with masks on because of covid which was nice. Eoghan asked for a tour around and he explained everything they would be doing. My family and I left the house so they could work uninterrupted. At 2:12pm they called me when they were about an hour out from the pressure test. When we arrived back home Sean was able to do the pressure test with us witnessing and everything looked great. Then within an hour the entire house was cleaned up and it looked like they were never here. Right before leaving Pat took me around the entire home showing me everything they did and making sure I understood how everything worked. They all made sure I had zero questions before leaving. This crew was absolutely amazing. Great guys and very clean work. And the warranty speaks for itself. I obviously hope I never need to repipe this house again but if I ever have any plumbing issues, Emerald Plumbing will be the first and only company I call.
