They are the absolute worst. Take your money anywhere else. Their customer service stinks. I manage my Mom's accounts under a POA I have had with CIBC since 2014. I transferred one RIF from a retail bank fund into an Investors Edge brokerage account because the fund performance sucked and I wanted to manage myself. I had to go into the CIBC branch to fill out all for forms. It took weeks for the funds to move then when they got there Investors Edge said I did not have authority to mange the money and they wanted more documentation and forms signed. If they didn't have what they needed they should never have accepted the transfer. Weeks later after escalating it got sorted out. It is eight months later and I am trying to move another account (which didn't get moved the first time because of a paperwork foul up on CIBC's end) and Investors Edge is once again asking for proof of my Mom's incapacitation. The same information I had to send them back in November. Unbelievable incompetence.
