With orders from my Orthopedic Surgeon in MN I went to Mission ER for a doppler ultra sound to check for possible blood clots in my leg. I had a total hip replacement in Nov and have swelling in this leg is the reason for the test. The staff at this hospital performed other test unrelated to this. A doctor came in who seemed nervous, confused, ask a couple unrelated questions and walked out. Then found out they don't even have an ultra sound in ER. Had to wait for the vascular surgeon as only one in their system to do this test he said he d be there 1-2:00. Then it was 3-3:30. If I had a clot I would have been dead by then. I decided to leave. Also, after hours of waiting the nurses never brought me water, I finally asked for it after about 3-4 hours of being there.
The next day, I went to McAllen Hospital ER and within an hour a technician done the ultra sound, radiologist read the report and other various check-in procedures and I was done. I will definitely never recommend the Mission Hospital ER.
