Been here recently. See if you can identify the photo from winter 2014 when we first visited. Matilda the red collar kangaroo has grown and got a small bump in the belly. Although she still comes close to you to say hi, we were warned that she shouldn't be touched. But back in the 2014 she was the friendliest kangaroo around that loves human interaction.

I suggest visitors take a look of this place's history and appreciate how much effort has been put into making the sanctuary for these wonderful animals.

It's not like a zoo and should not be treated as one. Sometimes I would rather not have people know about this place as crowd could stress out the animals and they wouldn't want to interact with you.

Though small and little changes throughout the years, this place is still worth the visit as the animals will show you what real outback Australia is like. Good to come for half a day and have a picnic with the animals around.

When I have kids, this would be a great place to teach them about how to interact with the animals. The up close and personal experience is hard to come by.

One tip is avoid going on hot summer day as animals hide from the heat and would like to just chill. You as a visitor would suffer as well as you would be walking around all hot and sweaty.
