I am incredibly disappointed with the Computer Training Institute. I arrived this morning to take a Pearson exam for my National Board Certification- a test that I have studied for for over 10 months. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the employee who said he would get us started on the test early. Great! I will finish early. We began the exam and about 10 minutes later, he came in and said the computers were going to be shut down because the internet was out. He said it would be about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, more people began to show up to take exams. I was in a small room with 8 computers. There were now 8 people waiting to take a test. The employee came back into the room and began logging onto the computer next to me. I asked, is someone going to be sitting here? He said yes. I said, that's not 6 feet apart and he told me it was okay because "we had masks on". An hour went by and the internet was still not fixed. Then, some time later, the employee said we could start the test but it might kick us off again. No. I will not take a test under these conditions. The internet went out again a few minutes later while I was waiting for my case report so I can reschedule. The employee had to complete the paperwork on his phone.

This is unprofessional, unsafe, and no way to run a business during this difficult time. The director was also walking around the facility without a mask on. It is clear this was about collecting as much money from test takers and not about providing a safe environment in which to take a high stakes exam.
