Just checked in so not tried the food yet. Room probably as old as decor suggests. Toilet flush handle wobbly and a bit broken but does work, lampshade so old it has started to disintegrate. Bed lumpy and squeaky with springs, a very old or very cheap mattress. Pillows plentiful and soft. Does however appear clean, windows do open for air which is nice, better than average selection of biscuits in room and the room is of a generous size. Is ok for the money and apparently they are refurbishing some of the hotel so hopefully the mattresses and decor are getting an update.
Have been for breakfast and was lovely. Friendly staff, quick service and tasty.
