Neshaminy is a great school, comparing it to others in the area. They had a variety of classes to take, from computer science to ceramics. I enjoyed how much they had to offer, even though some teacher were, like other reviews here said, incompetent.

I remember one teacher was particularly bad, she "taught" Chemistry, yet in an honors track we only got up to chapter 3 in the textbook. Most of my experiences with science at Neshaminy were not all that good, many of the teacher just gave packets of information and work. Your grade was based on those.

The english department was another story entirely, I never had a bad teacher. For example, Ms. Livingstone (she recently got married, unsure of her new last name) made her classes extremely interactive. When we were taught Mice and Men, she would read excerpts from the text as George and Lenny. She additionally showed videos to go with the work we were doing, specially John Green YouTube videos.

I also had good experiences with the math department. My first year, my math class drilled me into doing homework and actually studying. If it had not been for those math classes, I would not have been able to tough through college finals, etc.

As for history, I had mixed results. Some teachers were fantastic, and some not so much.

As for the entirety of the school, the lunches were rough. I always ended up packing a lunch. They always have a drama going on, their representation of the Crucible was my all time favorite.

Of course, gym night was my favorite part of student life at Neshaminy. Everyone participated, it was such a big event that so many people could get into it. If you are about to go to Neshaminy, join gym night. You will not regret it.

Something I generally also liked about the school was the size. With about 3,000 kids, you never knew everyone. There was always someone new in your classes. With such a big school, they can also provide more opportunities.

Not to say that Neshaminy is a golden standard, its not. There is corruption, poor decision making, and cutting corners, but overall its a good high school.
