This is our favorite resort to stay at. We come each Memorial Day weekend and relax by the pool all day watching the container ships float by. At night it s easy enough to pop on the free ferry to have dinner in Savannah. Sometimes we do the same for breakfast, as unfortunately the resort is a bit lacking in affordable dining options. The Starbucks downstairs has a couple of quick things for breakfast like a bagel and muffins that will work in a pinch. The poolside cafe unfortunately doesn t have many vegetarian options but we still love the place none of the less. The nightly s mores are a must but sometimes it can be tricky to track them down. You can always ask the concierge though. It s not well advertised but through the resort fee you can utilize their sister property on Hilton Head Island for free. It s much cheaper than their beach excursion, but it s less convenient. However the property is beautiful and worth the drive for the beach access and multiple pools.
