There really should be an option to give 0 stars. ...

There really should be an option to give 0 stars. This company is a scam. We bought a 2 night getaway with BlueGreen under the false pretenses that we'd get a FREE CRUISE (to the employee who said you all never tell anyone that its free, EVERYONE can't be lying about the same issue, don't be naive). As an aside, we've paid for our own cruises previously and we have no problems doing so (if we were told we would still have to pay anything we would've declined and booked on our own as usual). We thought we were getting a deal. We were planning a family trip and trying to decide which cruise line we were going with. At first we were going with Royal Caribbean because they are our favorite so far. When other members of the family backed out, we decided we'd just use the voucher and go on Carnival.

The cruise was not free. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced or even witnessed in my life. I originally booked with Alex Gregory. When the price dropped, I wanted to upgrade to a balcony (their entry cabins are inside cabins). They wanted to charge me more than what the cabin was worth on Carnival! I emailed Alex and asked if she could call Carnival because... travel agent. A week later I haven't received a response and balcony cabins are sold out. Ocean Views were sold out as well at the time, later on, one is now available. I called Vacation Tour and Travel to ask to have my reservation moved to someone who would communicate with me more timely and effectively. When "Silas" (this is probably spelled wrong because she hung up on me as I was asking her to spell it) answered the phone, she informed me Alex was on vacation. Once again, communication is lacking. When my family's travel agent goes on vacation, she lets us know. Silas then proceeds to tell me that I asked Alex to transfer my reservation to Carnival (never asked that, I have all emails to prove so), as well as tell me Alex did in fact respond (she didn't) and I just didn't like what she had to say (laughable, she doesn't know me and I was very polite up until speaking with /her/), she also said that Alex told me she couldn't call Carnival (she never responded to that email, so how could she have told me that?). Silas for some reason was defensive from the moment I told her my problem and gave her my name; maybe this was actually Alex I was speaking to from the get go? She also told me that if I was "so adamant about an upgrade" I should've called. I'm a nursing student, I don't have time to call and wait for 10 minutes just for someone to answer the phone and then try to resolve the issue. Silas did nothing but try to argue, interrupt, and speak over me. There was no indication that she was going to even feign seeking a resolution. She then advised me "We're not going to do this". I asked to speak to a supervisor, at this point she decides she's the supervisor. I can not believe in my wildest imagination that anyone would employ this person as a supervisor. Her lack of soft skills is atrocious. After she tells me she's the supervisor, I ask to speak to someone above her and she tells me "No." She then proceeds to say "there's no one". I asked her if she is the owner. She tells me that I'm not going to speak to the owner. So she's not the owner, but there's no one above her? I tell her again I'd like to speak to someone above her. She again says, "We're not going to do this" and she hangs up on me. She is disrespectful and it's amazing that she could be so bold over the phone in a customer service position.

Besides the trash customer service, they do not let you know what you're paying for. They just give you a total amount, no breakdown, or statement or anything. Right now, we are just biding our time and hoping that a balcony will be available soon and they can keep their "free cruise".
