Antoni Libera's commentary best fits this theater.

"I am amazed at the current dependence of theater on politics. In my young years, in the Polish People's Republic, when politics was imposed from above, we dreamed of departing from such a situation - we wanted a truly free art, liberated from Marxism, which was politicizing everything. Now here in free Poland - when formally speaking, no one imposes anything - practically totally 'engaged' art, in addition very primitive in pronunciation: noisy, poster, and above all shooting at one goal, whose name is political correctness.

There is another paradox here. All those 'young rebels' who drape in the robes of the cursed iconoclasts shaking heroically the conscience of society, are in fact opportunists and caresses of fate. They go with the flow, not against the flow. They collect awards, go to festivals, and shine around showrooms and on TV. In addition, they have little to say, which in turn is masked by arrogance and defiant gestures. Their 'cross', which they supposedly carry, is plush at best. All this company does not arouse respect. He lacks elementary artistic skills (there is not much to talk about talent) and solid education. If you think about the knowledge and skills of theater artists such as Axer, Kreczmar, Korzeniewski, Swinarski and Kantor, and compare it with the level of the current 'pleiad', then empty laughter takes. This is a total game of appearances. Nothing will remain. "
