I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mystic Hilton hotel in Mystic CT. I was there for 3 of the last 4 weeks as were any of my coworkers. Everyone one of us had a fantastic time and we all know a thing or two about hotel stays as we are all diamond members are are usually in hotels 4-5 nights per week for most of the year. While everything about the hotel was clean and comfortable, it is the staff whom I would most like to recognize.
I checked in and out with Christine and Bridget who were some of the most pleasant and caring people I have ever met. The accommodated me with any request I had without a moment's hesitation. I also had the pleasure of talking with Mariina a few times in the afternoons and evenings. I witnessed her interactions with some guests, some of which I know I could not have been as professional in dealing with as she was. In addition to that, she heard it was one of my coworkers birthdays and came over gave him a bottle of water and wished him a happy birthday.
All 3 of these women I had direct interaction with, however, I also saw many other members of the staff and they were equally as pleasant. I believe I also spoke to a manager for a moment as well. It truly seems like the working environment hat the Mystic Hilton has fostered a culture where people enjoy being there.
I have never vacationed in Mystic CT however, after the interactions I had and overall atmosphere, I will definitely change that this summer!
To all the people I have mentioned those I did not, please keep up the great work with your upbeat positive attitudes, the world could most certainly use more of it!
