It s a little upsetting to me that the best thing about my experience at this Mexican food restaurant were the French fries my kids got with their meals. Before I go any further I will say that the kids meals are very generous in their portions so If that s important to you...

I ve been going back and forth between two and three stars for this place but I settled on two because I really was not at all impressed and will not be going back. I ordered the brisket flautas and while none of our food took very long at all to come to the table, my flautas were altogether flavorless and the cheese sauce they come with was lumpy and some of the worst I ve ever had.

Even their salsa, which while tasted okay, had the look and consistency of marinara sauce. The beans and rice and the French fries are really the only good marks I can bestow upon this place. It wasn t very clean. They were using a table near ours to stack dirty dishes on.

The food looked and smelled really good. I was really quite excited when it came out. Then I bit into it and the whole story changed. There really are several incredibly better Mexican restaurants in Lubbock and the surrounding areas, I REALLY wouldn t suggest spending your hard-earned dollars at this one.
