Much more than an adoption agency. They work to help children and families with everything from preventing children entering institutions by stabilizing families through sponsorships and care, to influencing policy around the world to fix broken systems and help children in institutions find pathways to family and independence. It's a very worthwhile cause if you care about ALL children, including those aging out of institutions, those surrendered because they have special needs, and siblings who want to stay together. Despite the name, they don't push religion onto anyone they are trying to help, or any of their field partners.
