From the perspective of an employee, this is a great place to work. The building is nicely air conditioned, the work environment is friendly, and they're pretty liberal about your hours provided you tell everyone what you're doing and where you're at.

The main reason I left is I'm still learning things about myself, and I've discovered the excessive travel is not for me.

I'd highly recommend this as a place of work for anyone with electrical and/or programming skills. You just need to make sure traveling far and a lot isn't a problem for you.

Also, I'd like to make a note on the programming style here. If you're someone who wants to spend a lot of time abstracting things out into classes/modules, this probably isn't the ideal job for you. But if you're more of a procedural programmer who likes to get things done quickly, this is probably the place for you.
